We are currently in the process of converting some of our space into a recording studio. This is a very exiting project for us. We are in partnership with Roni and Dan (Peak Audio) who are heading up the work. The studio is due to be completed by the end of July. The studio has been professionally designed and will be high quality. For more information please contact us.

On Wednesday, Joel, John and Vanessa did a holiday music club in Grange sports centre. Vanessa is a great keyboard player, composer and workshop leader who is an expert in group activities and musical games.

Anticipation is high in Idle Primary School as the term draws to a close. John and Joel have delivered nine after school club sessions over the past term and next week will be the final performance in front of the whole school.
The performance will take place next thursday morning in the assembly and will feature three key songs played by the students: Smoke On The Water, We Will Rock You and Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Students will be playing drums, bass, guitars, keyboard, recorders and percussion along with John and Joel.
Thanks to John Bowers who helped organise the after school club and all the students who took part. We look forward to a great performance next week!

Today John and Joel went into Wedgwood Special School to deliver a full day world music workshop. The students and teachers took part by playing congas, bongos, shakers, tambourines, triangles, cowbells, wooden blocks, hand drums, maracas, acoustic guitar, drum kit and our latest addition to the percussion family… the Cajon box drum.

All the students had a go at hitting, slapping and beating the box drum to create the sounds similar to that of a real drum kit.
The workshop ended with a performance from John and Joel demonstrating all the instruments and getting student volunteers to help them along the way. Even the teachers had a go at playing along!
